  We were a group of ladies from near and far just wishing for a base to explore that side of the Yarra Valley and needing a clean & comfortable place to stay. We go away about twice a year and this is the worst place we have ever stayed in. The property has potential to be a great place to stay. However, apart from maybe a quick paint it appears not to have been properly maintained for many years. To be honest you could overlook this if it was clean, because the house is spacious, is in a quiet position and with a beautiful outlook. However, it was not clean and what is worst is that Wheel Management Company doesn’t seem to care. I sent a message not long after we checked in on the Friday to report the state of the place and have still not heard anything 4 days later.
  The only things clean in the house were the beds (sheets/linen) and the toilets. There were dead bugs on every window sill, not a couple of days of bugs (as it is summer), but I can’t even hazard a guess on when the sills were cleaned. Every surface was dirty, we had to use kitchen towel to clean bedside tables etc. There are cobwebs everywhere, even down low in really obvious places. The oven was dirty. There are lots of windows and glass doors, adding to the charm of the place, but they are really dirty. The outdoor area looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months.
  It is very basically furnished, so I thought I would use the shelves in the wardrobe for my things, rather than leave them on floor, but I had to clean the shelves before I could put anything in there. The master suite has a big walk-in robe but draws had random things in them. One of our group asked if anyone had any clothes hangers, we all looked and there was 1 for the 6 bedroom house. The facilities say there is a hairdryer but there was no hairdryer to be found. It says it has an Iron and Ironing Board, we could not find the Iron.
  I would not recommend this place nor this Management Company.

  Although the house was large and exactly what we were looking for, unfortunately, it was not clean or in good condition during our stay. The floors were very dirty, and there were dead flies throughout the house, as well as dead insects such as spiders on the floors in both the bedrooms and the living room. Due to the condition of the floors, we had to wipe and mop them ourselves multiple times during our stay. It did not appear that the house had been cleaned that day, which was surprising given that we were advised we could not check in early due to guests checking out that same morning and cleaners needing time in between guests.
  
  Additionally, the upstairs bedroom had no blinds at all. This was a significant issue and should be clearly disclosed prior to booking, as the amount of natural light makes it nearly impossible to sleep once the sun rises due to the many windows.
  
  On top of that, the air conditioning in that room was not functioning properly. When turned on, it leaked water into the living room on the first floor. We both messaged and called to report this issue, but received no response, and no one followed up to check on the situation...
