Tucked away in the lush greenery of Warburton, River Song is a peaceful retreat nestled beside the Yarra. The modernised 100-year-old cottage sits on spacious, private grounds filled with fern trees, mature plantings, and a garden with the same hundred-year heritage. It’s a feast for all the senses: the sound of running water from the creek, filtered forest light, fresh mountain air, and abundant birdlife.
This is a home that invites you to slow down, unclench your shoulders, and reconnect with what matters. It’s the perfect hideaway for nature lovers, art lovers… or just lovers. ;)
The artist owner uses the property as both a studio and muse, with original artworks displayed throughout. An artist residency program is in development, but for now you are warmly welcome to sketch, paint, write, or create to your heart’s content while staying at River Song.

  This rental is very special. The garden is simply beautiful and the home itself has incredible detail that just feels relaxing and healing as soon as you step inside.   Stayed for one night with my parents and little girl. Perfect location just off the river and quick walk to the town over the little foot bridge
  
  The house was lovely and had everything, wifi, smart tv, kitchen appliances etc. LOVED the spa touches in the bath and made it feel special

  This lovely home is set in a picturesque serene garden with its own creek. The location was excellent with close access to the town and other attractions. The home was very clean and there were plenty of items to cook with. We chose to use the barbeque which was clean. the beds were very comfortable and the indoor spa bath was an enjoyable bonus. The large smart tv was appreciated.
  My only concern was a lack of good lighting in the kitchen and a couple of spiders in the bathroom, though that's not unusual in Australian summer. I would recommend this property for couples, maybe with friends, who want a place to relax and get away from crowds.

  Riversong cottage exceeded our expectations. Its cosy, beautifully decorated and the owner has gone the extra mile into making the space a spiritual haven. We felt at home. The location is great with the Yarra River just across the road, and within walking distance to the main town of Warburton with its quaint cafes and shops. Kitchen is very well stocked with all you'll ever need and the beds are super comfortable and excellent quality. We will definitely be back, highly recommend.

  We relaxed completely at River Song. The river is just steps away and it is only a short walk into town. The deep spa bath was a highlight and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Di was beyond helpful and so delightful to deal with.

  Lovely old house renovated very well. A few odd improvements are required which I have passed on directly to the management company, but apart from that all good. Heating (winter stay) was good. Very tight to get through the front gates, and a 6 point turn to get around again at the top (unless you want to reverse all the way which is not recommended).
